Baikal Mining Company, the operator of the Udokan copper deposit, announces adoption of the new name – Udokan Copper.
Rebranding will be gradually introduced across all of the company’s business domains.

Baikal Mining Company completed construction of the second 220kV HV power transmission line at Udokan.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Baikal Mining Company Mr.Valery Kazikaev in the course of the 7th congress of miners held on November 27, 2020 in Moscow.

At the construction site of the Udokan mining and metallurgical plant, the installation of wall panels and a roof on the crushing body has been completed.

At the construction site of the Udokan mining and metallurgical plant, the construction of the building of the Materials and Supply Base has been completed.

A 100MW transformer of over 130 tons has been delivered from Novaya Chara railroad station to the “Bluzhdayuschy” substation construction site.

Installation of the roof and sandwich panels on the outside steel structures of the Reagents Preparation building is completed at Udokan Mining & Metallurgical Plant site. The facility is designed to prepare and store the reagents used in hydrometallurgical ore processing. The first steel column of the building was erected in late December of 2019.

On August 24, 2020 another 80MW power transformer was delivered to the “Udokan MMP” 220/35/10kV substation construction site

Baikal Mining Company started capital development with pre-production mining of ore in Zapadniy open-pit of Udokan copper deposit.
