COMPONENTS OF BALL MILLS FOR ORE GRINDING DELIVERED TO UDOKAN SITE
Udokan process plant construction site has received Ball Mill components to include large-size shell sections, main bearings, and other parts of process equipment supplied by a Finnish company - Outotec. First lots of equipment are arriving from Finland and Poland.
Ball Mills are the most critical area in the production operation equipment used in Udokan ore flotation and hydrometallurgical process train. Two Ball Mills of 6 tons each shall be launched at the first stage of production of 12 MTPA of ore.
The first lot of equipment from Finland – embedded parts for installation of Ball Mills – were delivered to Udokan site in February.
As per Mr. German Mironov, General Director of Baikal Mining Company, the Grinding Building erection is scheduled for end of June. Meanwhile, the site is going to receive the rest of the components from Estonia, Lithuaniaб and PRC.
Grinding, or milling of ore, is the second stage of the process flow, which is going to be run in two stand-alone process lines.
Currently, there are works going on at full steam at Udokan site to construct both the infrastructure facilities, and the main buildings of the processing complex. Most notably, the Primary Crusher Building construction is about to start anytime soon, which was preceded by grading and leveling works at site.
